Research on Swing up and Stabilization of the Single Rotating Inverted Pendulum Based on LabVIEW1

Abstract— The inverted pendulum system is a typical nonlinear, multivariable, and strong coupling system. In this paper, the structure of the inverted pendulum is introduced in detail. The inverted pendulum produced by Quanser Company of Canada is taken as the research object. Based on the LabVIEW software, the inverted pendulum can be swing up automatically by energy method. The result suggests that the regulator designed in this article shows great control.
